The Casuals 31st AGM (2023)
was held at Cardiff Blues 17th November 2023. The minutes
can be viewed by club members on the forum, the new
committee is listed below.

Successful season. 21 wins from 34 - most since 2011.
4th in league, (10th previous year), most wins since
2000 (although various fixture numbers). First winning
season since 2019.
Reached cup final. Lost by 18 runs - first chase in
cup. Pontcanna rather than St Fagans. Never beaten Radyr
Fam/Dads before. So doesn’t detract from season.
Team highlights. Talygarn 62ao, chased in 5.4 for 0,
Luvvers and Rhys. Both island games with comfortable
wins. Chase to beat Centurions with 1 over left, Goffy
hitting winning runs. Finally Uni Staff tie. Final ball,
all results possible, DT hits ‘run’ (leg
bye) for the tie.
Individuals. Cheese 3 for 1 in Medics cup game. Will
century at Ponthir (only Cazh 100 in 2023). Maxy 4 for
13 in Eclipse cup game. Pat 4 for 22 at Wick to skittle
them. Goffy 5 for 11 at X Keys, despite skipper being
irritated with the game carrying on. Jack 98 and Rupert
85 as part of Malpas partnership. Rob 73 and 3 for 11
(hatrick) at Huntley.
Jack B, Nishchay, Nirnay, Robbie, Dourani x3, Drucey,
Sanay, Will Purdie, Ross and George White - 12 new players,
allowed us to be competitive and field 11 in majority
of games. Good sign for future!
Overall, a really positive season. Luvvers thankful
for support. On to 2024!
