6th December 2006 The Casual
'No Stars' become the Leisure Leagues Autumn Indoor League
Champions
After last years success in the League, the No Stars re-entered
the Leisure Leagues competition. The first game up was against
the Champions of the LL Summer League - The Dirty Half Dozen.
Fittingly the game resulted in a draw.
The No Stars continued their form from the previous year
and lost just one game against Cardiff Northern in the first
half of the league. With the No Stars squad bumped up to 16,
consistancy was surprisingly maintained. Northern were the
main title race rivals, having not lost a single game in the
first half of the season, and each win recording almost maximum
bonus points.
In the second half of the League, results started to change,
and Northern lost a couple, the Asian Allstars coming into
contention, however, the No Stars failed to lose a game. It
was all down to the last game to decide the title, Northern
playing the Asian Allstars, and The No Stars playing Pak Panthers.
All three teams could technically take the trophy. The No
Stars completed a maximum bonus point win to retain the trophy.
A picture was again taken by the league, but again did not
feature in the local rag!
So, in its place the following photos were taken in the Cayo
pub after a couple of pints. The squad Jonny F, BA, Shagger
(c), Goughy, Shakey, Tesh, Steveo, Muff, Billy Mango, Smitts,
Dewbs, Matt D, Rob, DB, Winkie and Kim.
