10 July 2005 - vs Clytha Arms
@ the moat
Clytha - one of the best settings in which we play - the
only problem is the wicket!! Set in the middle of the country,
with a stately home in the backdrop and the pitch sunk into
ground giving a natural boundary (even if it is a little small).
The wicket though, is one of the worst we play on - it's surprising
that players aren't injured regularly, the ball often bouncing
head height or above off a length (this is not due to bad/lack
of groundkeeping from Clytha - just the way it is).
This game was a tight affair, which we won with a few overs
to spare, but only one wicket. A good game - match report
to follow.
