Week 16 - Results and Final Positions - DP

With the Willow League’s final week of play being yet another washout, calculators were required to decide the destination of the Shield and Plate competitions.
Chartered Trust made up for the disappointment of losing the League title in the final week by piping South Glamorgan Education to the Shield by virtue of their League victory earlier in the season.
In the Plate, newcomers Cardiff Hockey were tied with British Airways. Neither had played the other, so it came down to a run rate calculation. BA scored their Plate runs at a healthy 5.27 per over, but Hockey grabbed the title at their first attempt thanks to a run-a-ball scoring rate.
The Cup Final had to be held over yet again, rescheduled for August 19th, with a reserve date of August 21st.
