Another rain affected season saw South Glam pip Cardiff Hockey
to the post on average points to win the League. South Glam
also took the Shield on run rate from Chartered Trust. The
Cavaliers took top spot in the Plate over Cardiff Bay Barbarians
after winning all 3 games played.
Congratulations to both teams. Fingers crossed next season
will see some sun....

The Cup competition was played between the Consmen and Chartered
Trust with the Conmen coming out on top.
Consmen 147-8 beat Chartered Trust 121-6 by 26 runs @ Radyr

Another wash out at the end of the season saw Chartered Trust
pip South Glam to the post on run rate to win the Shield,
and similarly Cardiff Cricket and Hockey took top spot in
the Plate over BA.

Batting:
Dave Mogridge (OzBar Wizards) = 316 runs (a League best -
including a best of 86no, at an average of 79.00.
Warwick Armstrong (Cardiff Cavaliers) = 284 runs, at 35.50,
Nick Hutchings (Cardiff Cavaliers) = 233
Andy Ford - (L&G) = 227
Alistair Collyer (Sevenoaks HiFi) 226
Special mention should go to Nick Allen of South Glamorgan
Education for the highest individual score of the season for
his 101no, and Mike Morgan (Cardiff University Staff) who
was the only other player to reach three figures.
Bowling:
Luke Vincent (South Glam Education) = 13 wickets at 6.62
Andy Powell (South Glam Education) = 13 wickets at 9.77
Mark Simpson (Cardiff Cavaliers) = 11 wickets
Brian Condon (Sevenoaks HiFi) = 10 wickets
Steve Parker (South Glamorgan Education) = 10 wickets
The best individual return (4-5) was recorded by Tim Wegener,
yet another Education bowler, who sadly missed out on adding
to his tally with a broken ankle.
Wicket Keeper:
John Sparks (South Glamorgan Education) = 10 catches
Simon Riddick (GE Healthcare) = 6 catches
